The inspiration for a Horse of a Different Color emerged from a life-long love affair with the Emerald Isles and discovery of our Celtic roots. It was there we learned of the beauty of Gypsy horses and experienced first-hand their generous and magical spirit. Not only are these horses a feast for the eyes and senses, but they also have the versatility and temperament to excel in just about every equestrian activity. Our newest, hand-picked additions have arrived from Ireland and we invite you to visit Sunny Brook Farm and see for yourself these remarkable horses suited for riders of all ages, sizes, levels and disciplines.

Ruby was imported from Ireland and is registered with the Irish Piebald and Skewbald Society. She is clearly an old-soul and by far one of the loveliest filly foals we have come across. Possessing the most charming personality and generous spirit, we expect her to mature to a traditional cob size and is already developing quite a head of wavy hair and feather.

Cindy is a lovely mare by the Paint stallion Phantom Hawk out of a TB/Percheron cross mare. In 2006, she had a beauiful black Friesian Sporthorse colt. She has three nice gaits, a steady calm temperament, is super affectionate and a wonderful addition to the family. Cindy has resumed her training under saddle and will make her show debut this summer.

Miller is the first foal out of our lovely Gypsy mare Lisa by The Blue Prince who stands in Ireland at Cillbarra Stud. Up an nursing within an hour, Miller is a strong, healthy, beautifully marked colt with good legs and the beginnings of tons of wavy feather. His coat appears to be tri-colored (blue roan, black and white) making his markings very unique.

Buca is a striking tri-colored leopard Friesian Sporthorse gelding. His approved Friesian sire Nero was recently awarded Friesian Sporthorse of the Year. Buca is going nicely under saddle and has shown at training level and schooling first. He is a great all-around mount who hacks out on the trails and will surely get you noticed in the show ring.

It was love at first sight when we laid eyes on Nuala. She was imported from Cillbarra Stud in Ireland and is registered with the Irish Horse Board. Already loaded with tons of silky feather and a mane past her shoulder, we expect her to mature to 15 hands making her an excellent prospect for Gypsy or Drum Horse breeding.
